Share prices on the Colombo Stock Exchange closed lower on Thursday, with the key Colombo All Share Price Index increasing by 52.45 points or 1.78 percent to close at 3,004.61 points.
The highly capitalized Milanka Price Index also increased by 45. 50 points or 1.35 percent to close at 3,415.18 points.
A total turnover of 2.57 billion rupees (about 22.36 million U. S. dollars) was recorded during the day with a volume of 28.79 million shares being traded.
